It is the mission of Winfield Baseball to encourage our children to develop a love of baseball, to gain an understanding of the basic strategy and skills of the game, and learn good sportsmanship in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. We will always work to find a place for a child that wants to play baseball. The baseball ‘experience’ starts with our youth. Our core belief is that attitude, effort, respect and team work will not only provide for success on the field but also within the community.
The Winfield Baseball Association (WBA) was formed in the early 1990's as part of the Carroll County (MD) Recreation Council, a 501(c) (3), non-profit organization. WBA also has had a long term playing relationship dating back to the late 1960's with the Taylorsville Lion's Club when they were simply known as Winfield Baseball. The purpose of the WBA is to establish, maintain, and promote youth baseball activities for our community. WBA oversees Spring, Summer and Fall Baseball Programs with the primary focus of the WBA being children from pre-K through 9th grade.
